Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong foundation in internal medicine, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care. This is a full-time, permanent position.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to diagnose medical conditions.

·       Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.

·       Manage acute and chronic illnesses, providing ongoing care and monitoring.

·       Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical protocols.

·       Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.

·       Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems.

·       Educate patients and their families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.

·       Provide pain management solutions tailored to individual patient needs.

·       Stay current with advancements in internal medicine practices, medical terminology, and clinical guidelines.

 

Qualifications and Experience Required:

·       Medical degree from an accredited institution.

·       Previous experience in a hospital setting is highly desirable.

·       Proficiency in electronic health record systems is advantageous.

·       Demonstrated ability in evidence-based practice is beneficial.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and communication.

·       Active or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) License.

·       Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) – Mandatory.
