Drywall taper
Job duties include:
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
- Fill joints, nail indentations, hole and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
- Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
2 vacancies for drywall taper
2 years to less than 3 years’ experience is required
Position starts at $35.97 working 40 hours/week
Legally able to work in Canada
Supervise apprentice when needed
No formal education needed
